About David Faulkner

David Faulkner is a digital artist whose work explores the intersection of memory, narrative, and abstraction. Blending traditional techniques with contemporary digital tools, he creates layered, emotionally resonant compositions that suggest stories without telling them outright—leaving space for the viewer’s own imagination.

Trained in both painting and architecture, Faulkner began his career designing environments for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Bose, Capital One, Wells Fargo, and Gap. After decades in senior leadership roles, directing large-scale retail and architectural design programs, he returned full-time to his artistic roots in 2024.

Faulkner’s creative process is intuitive and exploratory. He begins with fragments—a quick sketch, a texture, a photo snapped on his phone, or a fragment of an image from his sketchbook—and layers them into complex digital collages. His approach, which he likens to “cooking without a recipe,” draws on years of visual discipline and curiosity, resulting in artworks that are rich in mood and visual texture.

Beyond technique, Faulkner is deeply committed to making fine art more approachable and accessible. His work is available as museum-quality prints at affordable prices, reflecting his belief that fine art should be a part of everyday life—not limited to the realms of galleries or collectors. His tagline, “Bring fine art into your life,” reflects his mission to make meaningful, thoughtfully crafted art accessible to people who may not have the time, space, or resources to engage with traditional fine art markets.

Since 2024, Faulkner’s work has been featured in juried exhibitions in London, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, including the ArtGemini Prize 2025 Finalist Exhibition, Boomer Gallery’s The Dark Side, and juried shows at the D’Art Center and the Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art. His work has also been published in Artistonish Magazine and continues to evolve through ongoing exploration of digital media, visual storytelling, and layered abstraction.

Based in the United States, David Faulkner continues to produce work that blends discipline with spontaneity—inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and complete the image in their own minds
