Container Graveyard transforms a stack of shipping containers into semi-abstract blocks of color and texture, infused with the tactile energy of painted marks. What first appears ordinary becomes a meditation on the excess of global trade—the saturated color blocks contrast with the shadowy ground devoid of life. The work balances striking color and form with an undertone of environmental unease, suggesting how infrastructure built for efficient commerce leaves a quieter wake of waste behind.
Printed at 2400 x 1200 dpi with archival 12-color pigment inks on acid and lignin-free mold-made copperplate paper, these prints offer exceptional longevity (200+ years) and tonal fidelity. Unlike dye-based prints, the pigment ink rests on the textured paper surface, producing a visual depth and tactile quality comparable to traditional etchings or lithographs.
Each limited edition print includes a certificate of authenticity printed on premium, watermarked paper with fluorescent security fibers. The certificate is attached to a serialized, tamper-proof hologram that matches an identical hologram permanently affixed to the reverse side of the artwork and corresponds to an edition log on a third-party artwork registry.
Please Note: Screen colors often appear more vivid than printed images because digital displays actively emit light, while prints rely on reflected light, resulting in softer, natural tones.
